KVR Case Study

Living and working in two countries across the world can throw up its challenges, especially when you are running seasonal tourism businesses which we offer in Canada and New Zealand.

It simply would not have been possible to do this without having online information about what we offer.  And when Pixels helped us launch the www.kettlevalleyrailtrail.com website four years ago they not only helped us launch a business; they helped re-invigorate an entire rail trail of communities along the way. The cycle trail in British Columbia is experiencing a huge resurgence and the website has connected us to people from all around the world.

And while we are in Canada, we still take bookings for our opposite seasonal business in New Zealand with www.okaritoboattours.co.nz.  The websites that Pixels design is clean and fresh looking, easy to navigate and simple for us and our customers to use.  Thank you Gita & Pixels!!

Paula Sheridan & Swade Finch

kettlevalleyrailtrail.com , okaritoboattours.co.nz

We designed a website for Paula Sheridan five years ago for Kettle Valley Rail Trail. Initially Paula wanted an informational website. About the trail, the history, Facilities, Accommodation, Cafes, Vineyards and other bits along the trail.

Then they branched out into bicycle tours and bicycle rentals in the first year. The business grew and now they have different tours including custom small group tours and are much sought after and get sold out very soon! Her website gets 10,000 unique visitors every month and doubles over summer. ( her peak season)

The website is optimised for her keywords in Google and ranks first in search engines.  The website we designed has helped her grow her Canadian cycle tour business and helped her grow her revenue. As a result of a large loyal clientele Paula ended up starting cycle tours in the South Island as well. Paula divides her time between Canada and New Zealand for her bicycle and boat tour businesses and avoids winter in both countries!

Her boat tour business is on the West Coast of New Zealand. Based in picturesque Okarito she takes bookings for her boat tours and a cottage she rents out on her website. She could not do without the website as her clientele is from all over the world.
